How we build an iPhone app, step by step
Two-week sprints, a build you can open every week, and a fixed price agreed after discovery. Here is each phase, what you get from it, and what we need from you.
1–2 weeks, paid
01 / 05
Discovery
We map your goals, your users and the constraints, and agree what v1 actually is.
You get
- A written scope: flows, screens and integrations
- A fixed price and a timeline
- A clear list of what is in v1 and what waits
We need from you
- Time for a few working sessions with us
- Any designs, research or analytics you already have
- Access to the backend or API, if there is one
If you decide not to build with us, the scope is yours to take to any other team.
2–4 weeks
02 / 05
Architecture and design
The technical foundation, data model and integrations are planned, and the screens are designed on Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
You get
- An interactive prototype in Figma
- A design system of reusable components
- The data model and integration plan
We need from you
- Feedback on the prototype within days, not weeks
- Brand assets, if you have them
- One person who can approve decisions
Already have designs? We build from your Figma, after one pass against Apple’s guidelines.
Two-week sprints
03 / 05
Development
Swift and SwiftUI, in two-week sprints, with a TestFlight build in your hands every week.
You get
- A new TestFlight build every week, on your own iPhone
- Each sprint planned and reviewed with you
- Code in a repository you own
We need from you
- A look at each build, and quick answers
- Test accounts and content for the backend
- Decisions on anything outside the scope
Changes are welcome. Anything outside the agreed scope is priced before it is built, never billed by surprise.
The final sprint
04 / 05
Launch
App Store submission, review support and go-live under your own Apple account.
You get
- The App Store listing and privacy details set up for submission
- Submission and replies to App Review
- Release on the day you choose
We need from you
- Your Apple Developer account, or permission to set one up for you
- Sign-off on the listing
- Your launch date
The app is yours from day one: the listing, its reviews and its ranking history.
30 days included
05 / 05
After launch
Every project includes a month of support after go-live. After that, we keep the app current with you.
You get
- Fixes once real users arrive
- A plan for the next version
- A documented handover if you take it in-house
We need from you
- Feedback and reviews from your first users
- Priorities for what comes next
Afterwards: a retainer for updates and new iOS releases, project by project, or a dedicated developer month to month.

Most builds take 8 to 16 weeks from kickoff to App Store release, after a paid discovery of one to two weeks. Smaller apps can be faster, larger ones take longer.
